This winter has been challenging for Horse Rangers, with freezing temperatures, our running costs have increased and our horses have needed extra rugs, hay and visits from the vet!
Our beloved Charlie has now been diagnosed with an abnormal heart rhythm called atrial fibrillation and we need your support to help fund his treatment. This rare condition is being closely monitored but he needs a ground-breaking procedure in order for his heart to establish a normal rhythm again. This procedure is costly, and although Charlie is insured, it is not enough to cover the intervention and his aftercare.
Charlie joined the Horse Rangers in 2020 and is an ‘all rounder’ and firm favourite with all our Rangers, RDA riders and volunteers. We hope that this will be a successful procedure, and Charlie will be able to join his friends and be ridden again.
Funds will be prioritised for his care and any surplus used to support the core running costs of Horse Rangers.
Please support Charlie and our horses stay warm and healthy this winter.

This year, Charlie accompanied our RDA members & volunteers to the RDA Regional & National Championships.
Charlie was diagnosed with his atrial fibrillation whilst having a routine check up with our vet. He was referred to Liphook Equine Hospital, where Julie the Medical Specialist took over his treatment, starting with an ECG and Echo Scan.

We hope to have Charlie back to a good heartbeat so he can dance around his friends happily again:
