Chaim is a wonderful 4-year-old boy who was born with a very rare syndrome that affects his brain and overall well-being. He has bravely undergone multiple surgeries, including open-heart surgery. Unfortunately, Chaim has no control over his movements; he cannot sit, stand, crawl, or move his hands and feet, nor can he lift his head voluntarily. Additionally, Chaim is visually impaired, which makes it harder to interact with him, as he hardly sees. He also does not eat anything by mouth and relies on a feeding tube for nourishment, which means he requires round-the-clock care.
As you can imagine, the care Chaim needs is very expensive. We are grateful for the support we receive from the government, which provides funding for caregiver hours at home and additional assistance to cover his time at a special school. While these supports cover his night-time care and school hours, we still need to pay privately for a few additional hours of care each day. This burden becomes particularly heavy during the school holiday times, when Chaim is not in school and we require significantly more caregiver hours.
To ensure Chaim has the support he requires, we have launched a campaign to help cover the costs of his caregivers during these times. Reaching out for help is very difficult for me, but sometimes it is necessary. This is a sensitive matter for both me and my family.
Any contribution you can make would mean the world to us and will help us provide Chaim with the care he deserves.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Chaim and for considering supporting our family during this challenging time. Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated. May you be blessed, may you never face such hard life tests, and may you always see pleasant joys from your children, in good health!
