Adventuring Angels is a small, community-rooted outdoor learning site based on a disused allotment site in Denaby, South Yorkshire.
We provide outdoor learning and nature-based experiences for local children and families—offering a safe, nurturing space where curiosity, confidence, and connection with the natural world can flourish.
Sadly, our off-grid site has recently been the target of repeated vandalism. Polytunnels have been torn down. Sheds have been pushed over or set on fire. Most heartbreakingly, a shed we had lovingly converted into composting toilets—so vital for hosting safe and inclusive sessions—was completely destroyed in a recent arson attack.
We're devastated, but we’re not giving up.
We’re raising funds to improve security on-site and prevent further damage. Every donation will help us:
Rebuild essential facilities lost to vandalism
Install physical deterrents like fencing or gates
Explore off-grid security options (e.g., trail cameras, motion sensors)
Put up clear signage to deter future incidents
This site means the world to the families who use it. It's more than just a patch of land—it's a space for growth, education, healing, and belonging. Please consider donating whatever you can to help us protect it and continue offering these vital sessions.
Thank you for standing with us.
