I write these words today with a heavy heart, but also with a spirit of hope and determination. My beloved son Amir was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was just five months old, and since then, our lives have been a whirlwind of therapy sessions, doctor’s appointments, and endless challenges. But through it all, Buddy has shown me what true strength and resilience look like. From the moment we received his diagnosis, we knew we would do whatever it took to help him reach his full potential. So, we embarked on an intensive treatment journey, with hours and hours of therapy every week in the hope that one day our son would be able to walk on his own.

But this journey has not been easy. The emotional toll of caring for a disabled child is immense, and at times, I feel alone and as if the weight of the world is on my shoulders. Dealing with comments like “but he doesn’t look normal” leads to endless worry about whether my son will be accepted in a world that can be cruel and unforgiving. I struggle to balance the needs of my older child with the treatment demands of my younger child. I struggle with the mental burden of motherhood, being a working mom, undergoing therapy and trying to get out of the house on time, not to mention endless bouts of illness and time off from work.

The guilt I carry in my heart and ask myself day and night if I could have done something different so that Amir would not have to live this life. Finally, the loneliness that comes from a husband sacrificing his time with his family by working so that he can provide for us a comfortable life and provide for everything that Boudy will need in the future only adds to the burden.
I know times are tough for everyone right now, but if you can donate even a small amount, or share the video/story, it will make a difference in the lives of children like my son. It will help fund vital therapy and support services that can make a huge difference on their journey to independence.

I dream of a future where Amir can walk into any room and be greeted with understanding and respect. I want him to believe with every fiber of his being that he can achieve anything he sets his mind to, just like any other child.

Your support means more than just a donation; it is a step toward a world where Buddy and others like him are seen for their abilities, not their disabilities. Together, we can build a community that celebrates diversity and fosters an environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Thank you for helping make this dream a reality.
