Help a struggling neurodivergent into a creative hobby

by Logan Blake in Cleethorpes, England, United Kingdom

Hi, my name is Logan and this crowdfunder is for myself. I'm 27 years old and have sruggled in many areas in life which led to a diagnosis at 26 of autism and ADHD. Things have always been hard but lately even more so. The diagnosis was a hard pill to swallow on it's own but in February this year my partner was in a serious car crash. This led to me becoming her carer and left in a position where I was asked to leave my job due to the new outside commitments.

I have looked for working from home jobs to top up our income but with no success. I am very limited in what kind of work I can do due to my mental health. It is becoming more and more obvious that I need a creative hobby.

My dream on that is to start designing and making 3D prints and wooden etch carvings. I want to be able to make models, film and videogame replicas and 1723234713_merged-gear-fidget-toy-1024x768.jpgcosplay items such as flip up iron man helmets for example. Idealy also making sensory and fidget toys. I want to be able to get lost in my own little world and drown out the bad things in life doing something constructive.

1723234614_ender-3(f85).jpgAt the start I would require a 3D printer, etcher, supplies and craft items in order to start creating. It may take a long time to get going but I hope to some day sell my designs on selling platforms like etsy. And if a few years down the line I make enough money to do so; I would look to start a Local group for the neurodivergent 1723234590_71yr2pzwd9l._ac_uf894,1000_ql80_.jpgcommunity to come and join in with designing and printing in a safe space tailored for people with sensory issues and social struggles.

1723234652_image4jpg__1354x0_q85_subsampling-2.jpg__1184x0_q85_subsampling-2.jpgThere are so many worthy causes on crowdfunder and I don't expect it will be easy or that people will see this more worthy of giving than others. But any and all donations would be very gratefully recieved and hopefully start the ball rolling so that I can pay it forward by helping more people in the future.

Thank you for reading
