To help me to re-build my newborn photography business, after the pandemic forced me to close in 2022.

by Helen Young in Cannock, Staffordshire, United Kingdom

Hi I'm Helen. From 2018 to 2022, my Husband and I had a photography business called 'First Moments Photography.'

Sadly In 2022, we were victims of the pandemic and our business was forced to close.

Fast forward to 2025, I have never stopped photography, but recently I have re-kindled my passion for newborn photography and I am looking to re-start as a specialist in the field. There are hundreds of newborn photographers but I am different to the £10 photoshoots you see on social media. I do things properly and safely. Some newborn poses can be very dangerous if they are not done safely. I was a trainer for other newborn photographers - teaching them how to pose and safely create beautiful images without the risks.

My long-term ambition is to (eventually) have bricks and mortar studio again and grow into a well-known business, just like I did before.

This is where you amazing people come in. The first steps to re-starting come at a cost. I need insurance, subscriptions, props, equipment and servicing to my cameras.

I also need to advertise and pay for domains/hosting etc.

I hope if anyone is reading this, you may consider sending me a bob or 2, just to kick things off.

Thank you so much - you really have no idea how much this means to me.
