Heartbeat delivers structured exercise programmes to manage people's heart conditions and reduce heart events. We support nearly 1,000 local people every single week.
Lancashire has the second highest prevalence of heart disease in the UK with 1 in 4 people affected. The service Heartbeat provides allows people to engage in cardiac rehabilitation in a safe and secure environment, creating a social peer support group for all involved. People who may not feel able to exercise regularly in a commercial gym can come to Heartbeat and be with people with shared experiences. We work with them to strengthen their heart and improve their health so that they can spend more time with their family and loved ones.
Any money raised through donations or Nectar point donations would contribute to the running of our services allowing us to support local people when they need it most.
