My business was really growing with party bookings and care home visits which have all had to stop because of the coronavirus. Obviously though the costs associated with looking after the ponies don't stop, anything that you can do to help support my social enterprise at this time would be much appreciated.
Healing Hooves Pony Therapy has been set up to provide holistic animal therapy to individuals experiencing social issues such as poor mental health, dementia and loneliness, with the aim of improving their wellbeing and social inclusion.
Our therapy ponies visit individuals of various ages who have various needs and bring them soothing and calming therapy. We visit places such as care homes, individual homes, respite centers, schools and nurseries. People are given the opportunity to pet the horses, learn more about them and about how to care for them.
Studies have shown that animal-human interaction and animal therapy can enhance a person’s social, mental and physical health. Our specially trained ponies bring joy, comfort, and affection into lives that can benefit from the healing powers from seeing and engaging with them.
I am very passionate about what I do, caring is in my nature and so much want to help people and make a difference. My miniature Shetland ponies are very well care for through myself.
I have been around horses since I was 6years old, would never change this my ponies help me through traumatic times throughout my childhood.
Horses don't judge by appearance, they look past peoples' disabilities and recognise the emotions inside. Horses are more than friends and companions. Walking with the horse, touching the horse, grooming the horse provide emotional therapy.
Any donates welcome to provide our ponies with hay, feed and vet, farriers bills for the ponies welfare. Donates will go towards us visits care homes etc for the future coming months when all is more clearer.
