Headliners (UK) is a national charity with a 27-year track record of inspiring children and young people to have a voice and amplify them. We enable and empower children and young people to investigate and challenge the world around them so they are heard. Our vision is a world where young people believe in themselves, are powerful and able to make changes for themselves and for others. Headliners uses multi-media programmes and tools to help young people learn new skills, engage with other people from different backgrounds and support them to increase their life chances.
Headliners supports children and young people aged 8-25 years including those from a disadvantaged background, care leavers, from black and minority ethnic groups, low economic backgrounds, with special educational needs, refugees or seeking asylum.
The impact of our charitable work enables young people to:
- Grow in confidence
- Build and learn new skills
- Enable their voices to be heard in a meaningful way
- Reduce their isolation
- Increase their involvement in social action and civic engagement
Our work help to transform young people's lives and make a positive difference.
For Headliners (UK) the difference we make to young people is key:
''My self-confidence has grown and I feel more confident to be open to other people. Before I kept everything to myself and I suffered because of this. For me, joining Headliners has improved my self- confidence.'' Young Person – 2021
