Hayling Ancient Yew Tree

Aim: The ancient Yew tree in St Mary's churchyard is in need of your help. It could be as old as two thousand years and need some urgent care.

The ancient Yew tree is well known and loved feature on Hayling Island. It's been growing for a very long time, reputedly as long as two thousand years. That means it had started life before Julius Caesar invaded England. The storms over the last few years have not been kind to this venerable tree and it now needs your help. 

Even  a small donation will help us to protect the tree for the future. Only the most skilled arboriculturist will be able to work on it and a whole load of permissions need to be gained before work can start. It will all be expensive.
