Harvey’s Gang helps young patients understand more about all the laboratory tests that are required to diagnose, treat and monitor their healthcare. The young patient is encouraged to visit their Pathology Laboratory with their parent(s), sibling(s), guardian(s). They get to see the laboratory, Biomedical Scientists, Healthcare Scientist, laboratory Assistants and Clerical teams. They see all the equipment used, even looking down microscopes and maybe even seeing their own cells. We empower and educate the youngsters.
We want this to be part of all children’s healthcare pathway.
