Help Build a Dream

Projects: Harvest of Hope: Empowering Communities through Eben Gardens Foodbank initiatives

My name is Lydia, a mother, philanthropist, and minister of the Word of God. I am dedicated to spreading love, hope, and building community through fellowship and charitable work. Living in the United Kingdom and working for a local authority, I am passionate about supporting vulnerable communities, particularly orphans, widows, and those in need. Although I cannot do it alone, I believe the foodbank vision I’ve started from my own home can grow and reach others across the globe.

I have a dream and a opportunity to make that dream a reality – but I need your help.

I’ve purchased a large piece of land in Zimbabwe, Africa my country of origin, where I’ve already started growing crops to support this amazing community in Melsonia Kwekwe and also provide street food for those in need. But this is just the beginning! I envision a future where no one in this little  community suffers from hunger, and I believe we can build a sustainable food system together.

I have identified many vulnerable individuals who could greatly benefit from this charitable work, and some are already receiving support from my personal contributions. This initiative is helping vulnerable children regain hope and is establishing farming education programs that will not only benefit them now but also in the future.

I have come to realize that my dream of feeding the hungry through my food bank is about more than just nourishing the body. It has sparked the beginning of many projects I am eager to pursue, with the ultimate goal of bringing hope, peace, and love to an unstable world.

Here’s What I Need Your Help With:

  • Building a Water System: I want to create a self-sufficient water system to support my farming and provide water for the community.
  • Farming Equipment: To grow more crops and increase our food supply, I need proper tools and resources.
  • Food Storage Warehouse: A safe space to store food for distribution to the hungry.
  • Community Support Programs: I aim to expand this project by building a drop-in foodbank community home creating a lasting impact for generations to come. Partnering with schools to make sure all orphans can be identified and supported by foodbank initiatives to enjoy education.

As a single mother of two, I’ve been working hard to fence the land using my personal small salary. But with limited resources, I can’t achieve this dream alone. That’s why I’m asking for your support.

How Your Donation Will Help:

  • Provide consistent food supplies for widows, orphans, and families in need.
  • Create jobs and build a sustainable system that can feed the community for years to come.
  • Support the development of drop in food initiatives and school programs to ensure the next generation thrives.

I truly believe that together, we can make a lasting difference. With your donation, no matter how small, you will help create a ripple effect of positive change in Kwekwe, a beautiful but underprivileged village, far from modern life. Every contribution takes us one step closer to a hunger-free community.

Why Now?

Life is short, and the time to act is now. I want to show the world that anyone can make a difference to create a better world. The land is there, the vision is clear – all I need is your help to bring this dream to life. Let's work together to make a better world, one meal at a time. Bridging divides, breaking barriers, and restoring love as the foundation of community unity. Together as nations, charity keeps the world turning

Volunteers:

I am deeply grateful for the love and support of my family, especially my amazing 21-year-old daughter, who is currently studying at university and shares my passion for this journey. She is supporting programmes for partnering with schools in the community.

My younger sister also has dedicated her time and plays a key role by running our street food initiative, cooking homemade dishes from her own kitchen and distributing them to those in need. My parents are the heart of the community, keeping our vision alive by engaging with local residents and championing our initiatives. We're also blessed with dedicated volunteers from the community who continue to support and uplift our mission.

Testimonials:

I've received incredible testimonials that keeps me going, and I know there's so much more i can accomplish. One heartfelt message came from an elderly widow, sharing how her orphaned child can now attend school and complete their education. She expressed that this has fulfilled her dream of seeing the next generation uplifted and given a chance in a small community where government funds are not available to support communities.

Thank you for believing in this vision and for your generous support. God bless.

Sowing Hope, Feeding Futures.
