We're still collecting donations
On the 10th May 2023 we'd raised £1,400 with 39 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
This challenge raises money to support new immigrants, especially Hong Kongers in the UK, by providing sports and community activities!

On the 10th May 2023 we'd raised £1,400 with 39 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Once we have got enough funding, we can provide employment opportunities and hire migrants to operate our training programmes, creating a strong positive cycle and helping more people in need.
Harbour Sports Club (HSC) is a non-profit CIC established by BNO visa holders to connect new immigrants in the UK through sports. We organise various sports events and training for the local communities. Harbour Athletics Club is an England Athletics affiliated club operating under the umbrella of HSC.
Harry Loasby, the Chairperson of Harbour Athletics Club, will take on this 130km challenge on 15 April to raise funds for the club! He will be running from Brighton Pier to Waterloo Bridge in London, via Down's Link - an old railway that has been converted into a trail.
Harry himself, as a British born in Hong Kong, is a migrant. He understands very well the challenges of speaking another language, living in a different culture, and being an ethnic minority to the community. Because of this background, he is very passionate and active in helping Hong Kongers integrate into the UK communities through sports, and has taken up the Chairperson role of Harbour Athletics Club.
This will be the furthest he has ever run, and we hope to involve as many people as we can, and inspire others to challenge their own limits. Aside from raising money for Harbour Athletics Club, Harry would also like to spread the word and raise fund for RUN HK, which is doing for refugees in Hong Kong. A parallel fundraising page is here for donations dedicated to this vulnerable group:

And to add a bit of spice to the challenge, Harry's personal goals are to hopefully set personal records for 50 miles (8 hours, 14mins) and 100km (9 hours, 56mins) along the way, and finish the challenge in 14 hours or less! This would require an average pace of 6:27/km. If you live in Brighton, Guildford or London, or any of the nearby towns along the way, and have a connection to refugees, immigration, Hong Kong, running, or even none of the above! - please join us for parts of the challenge! Everyone is welcome to tag along.
Harbour Athletics Club has been working hard on community building and sports training. Our first flagship project "Reading 21" trained around 60 migrants since January 2023 to take part in the Reading Half Marathon on 2 April. Daily training plan, weekly running practices, 3 online workshops and 3 yoga workshops were provided to our participants for free!
Harbour Athletics Club currently relies mainly on the initial donation from our founders. Although we have talented and experienced coaches as volunteers, we lack proper equipment to make our running and yoga sessions truly professional.
To sustain our operations and make impact, we need extra funding. With money raised from crowdfunding, we will be able to purchase team running shirts and training equipment, including sports cones, resistance bands, and yoga mats. We will also be able to expand our marathon training programme to other cities in the UK and benefit more migrants by uplifting their physical and mental wellbeing.
