Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice is a local charity providing specialist respite, symptom management and end of life palliative care to over 370 infants, children and young people living with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses. The charity supports children and their families through a range of services. These services include end of life care, care at home, supported short breaks where children and families can come and enjoy tailored activities in a safe environment with specially trained staff on hand at all times and care for the whole family.

PIPS Charity is here to provide support to individuals who are considering, or who have at some point considered, ending their own lives. PIPS also provide support to those families & friends who have been touched by suicide. The organisation’s origins are linked to the unfortunate tragedy of 14 young people taking their own lives over a short period of time and the coming together of a range of stakeholders compelled to try to address the issue. The organisation began, and very much remains, a community led organization with a strong grass roots led ethos to suicide prevention and self-harm. PIPS Charity provides information on how to be more aware of the risk of suicide it also gives you the knowledge on how to signpost someone to all the sources of help available.

Jack and Jill Children's Foundation is a nationwide charity providing in-home nursing care and respite support for children up to the age of 6 with severe to profound neurodevelopmental delay. This may include children with brain injury, genetic diagnosis, cerebral palsy, and undiagnosed conditions. Another key part of our service is end of life care for all children up to the age of 6, irrespective of diagnosis. The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation offer a child and family centred care service and believes that families should be supported to care for their children in their own homes. The aim of their service is to reduce some of the worries and difficulties that come when caring for a child with additional needs while also allowing families to take a break.
