Aim: I am raising money for a charity that has supported people I love the most through their darkest times.
Some of the people I love the most have been impacted by cancer.
Some have lost their lives, some have been lucky to beat cancer but live every day with the long lasting emotional and physical effects.
These people are the women in my life, mothers, friends and sisters. I've always been in awe of their strength, but also their vulnerability. I've seen their struggle to be heard and also understood as they experience something so isolating.
I cannot speak on their behalf, but I wanted to do something to recognise a charity they cared about and that provided a life line beyond what I was able to offer.
What I'm going to do...
I chickened out of shaving my hair BUT, since a friends diagnosis I have been growing my hair to cut and donate. I will be donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust and raising money for Breast Cancer Now.
I will be adding pictures of how long my hair has gotten (I believe it needs to be a minimum of 12 inches) and then the cut in March (as long as it's grown enough).
