The Prize

A Virgin Experience Voucher to the value of £134.50 - Virgin Experience Link

Days out in London don’t get more iconic than this. Spend quality time together in style, with entry to The View from The Shard and a Champagne Afternoon Tea at Fortnum & Mason, Royal Exchange.

The two of you can make a journey 800ft skyward to The Shard’s open-top viewing platform on Level 72, where you can take in panoramic views over the sprawling city and beyond. Soak up the sights at your leisure, stretching out 40 miles in every direction, before making your way to the champions of Britain’s tastiest tradition, Fortnum & Mason.

Seated in the Royal Exchange’s spectacular central courtyard, you’ll dine on finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones and patisseries, accompanied by your choice of tea blend. Round things off with a glass of chilled Champagne.

The Cause

I am raising funds to take part in the Hospice To Holland Cycle Challenge taking place from the 18 - 22 September 2024. HospiceToHolland Link

We will be doing 292 miles over 5 days with a total of 908 meter in elevation. Route Info

We will be riding from Eastbourne to Amsterdam over a 4 day period to raise funds for the St Wilfrid’s Hospice Hospice and St Michael’s Hospice. Partners and Cause

St Michael’s Hospice supports and enables the community of Hastings and Rother to live well with dying, death and loss.

We identify what matters most to patients and families, what’s making life difficult for them, including worries and concerns. We then create a care and support plan that can be adapted when things change.

Our services are provided via in-patient beds and at home and we also offer Wellbeing support, both out-patient and virtual. Expert bereavement support is available for anyone struggling to come to terms with the death of a loved one.

We also recognise the community’s role in supporting those nearing the end of life and will play our part in building supportive neighbourhood networks via our compassionate communities work.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice supports people with life-limiting conditions in Eastbourne, Seaford, Pevensey, Hailsham, Uckfield, Heathfield and all points in between. Our vision is of a community where people talk openly about dying, live well until the end of their life and where nobody dies alone, afraid or in pain.

We provide nursing and medical care and therapies for patients in their own homes, in our Inpatient Unit and through our Living Well Hub. The hospice also provides bereavement support for adults and children throughout the catchment area, whether or not their family has been cared for by the hospice.

St Wilfrid’s Hospice is a charity that relies on voluntary gifts to support over 70% of our vital work. It costs over £18,000 a day to provide our care and support services across our catchment area, and patients are never charged for care.
