New stretch target
Purchase newer instruments to enable any new players (young or old) to join the band. If we are able to purchase more new music this will help give us more variety and attract to a wider range of audience.
To raise funds to help pay costs the band cannot avoid during lockdown such as room rental and insurance (circa £1,200 total).

The Band have prided itself on putting on free entertainment over the years, normally asking for a few coins in the bucket if you enjoy the music! We hold some formal concerts throughout the year to raise much needed funds to cover cost we cannot avoid and also to purchase new instruments as old ones need to be replaced. We also buy new music each year, to give variety to both the players and the audience.
Though money itself will not keep a band going, it helps tremendously to take pressure off and stop a band from folding for financial reasons.
The band is made up of players mainly from Cressbrook and the surrounding villages. We are a strong social group, which has been helpful to our members, some of which are elderly and in poor health.
Please give what you can and we hope to be playing again for you again as soon a possible!
