Grimsby Ice Rink

Grimsby Ice Rink as a registered charity was formed in 2017 to save the facility from closure. As the only ice rink in all of Lincolnshire we felt strongly that it should remain open to allow and encourage skaters to not only take part in recreational skating but to train and join Ice Hockey teams or to go on to become Figure/Syncro Skaters. Our local authority signed the rink over to us in a Community Asset Transfer and we have run it ever since. 

Until the pandemic we faced and overcame maintenance and machinery failure issues however two years of closures and heavily reduced capacities have left us struggling to self fund any further improvements and with some of those in dire need we risk undoing all the good work we have done and losing skaters to the sports we are desperately trying to keep in the area.

We need to raise as much money as possible to enable us to improve the current facility.

By holding various events and asking for generous donations, we hope to be able to fund some overdue repairs and amazing renovations to really take the ice rink to the next level! Some of the things you’ll be helping to fund are:
