Green Aspirations Scotland was established as a Community Interest Company in February 2013, with the aim to support people to care for their environment and themselves. Since then, we've worked with different groups of people – community groups, young adults, school pupils, kids and crafters – to develop traditional skills, create an appreciation of the woodlands, and encourage sustainable and healthy environments.
And now we want to celebrate our first 10 years - and what a decade it's been! We've moved to different sites, worked all around the UK, and (hopefully) touched the lives of thousands of people. We've run hundreds of workshops and Wee Skelfs sessions, started the best spoon carving festival in the world, built structures, made tonnes of charcoal, and generally messed about in the woods, encouraging people to join us in our love of the natural world.
So, if you've ever been involved with Green Aspirations in any capacity - as a volunteer, as a wee skelf, as a workshop participant, as a Hoolie-er, as a charcoal user, or as a wood-botherer in any other guise - then come and join us at our 10th Birthday Celebration. The event is free but we welcome donations, which we'll share with local charity, Start Up Stirling, who provide crisis support throughout the area.
You can raise sponsorship through any wood-related activities, join us in a sponsored log splitting event during the party, or simply donate your hard-earned cash. Whatever you decide, make sure you share lots of photos!
We can't wait to see you all there! Book your ticket here!
