Who are we?

St Mary Redcliffe Primary PTFA is a group of volunteer parents, carers and teachers working together with the support of the whole school community to provide enhanced learning experiences, new equipment and opportunities for our children.

We organise fun, creative events for the children, benefiting our community as well as fundraising for the school.  We also fundraise though supermarket token schemes, grant applications, match funding and much more .

Community impact

Every penny raised goes towards the school. We work towards fulfilling the teachers' and childrens' fundraising requests for each academic year. These vary from magazine subscriptions, school clubs and activities, pupil premium support, as well as new books, play equipment and performances. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

As an inner-city primary school, we are looking to develop our green spaces in our playground. Green spaces filter pollutants and dust, provide shelter and habitats for wildlife and enable children to learn through the nature around them. Through this funding we are looking to regenerate and nuture our existing green spaces, purchase new seating, planters and resources to grow plants, shrubs and vegetables on our school site. Not all children have access to a garden at home so our provision is fundamental to give children opportunities to observe, explore and develop their curiosity. We have recently built a polytunnel for our children, now we looking to develop this area further through fundraising for equipment so our children can enjoy gardening through forest school sessions, after school clubs, small group nuture sessions and during lunchtimes.
