We are Great Beyond Brewing Company, an independent craft brewery situated in the heart of Hoxton, East London. Founded by three experienced brewers Ollie, Nick, and John, we owe a debt of gratitude to Nick and Miranda for their invaluable contributions.

At Great Beyond Brewing Company, our mission is twofold: to produce exceptional, sustainably-crafted beers and to foster a strong sense of community, creativity, and camaraderie within our railway arch taproom.

In recent months, we've crafted some great beers. From exciting one-offs like The Raspberry Incident and Tiny Dancer to perfecting our flagship brew, Hoxton Fresh, we continuously strive for excellence. 

Serving the Finest Pubs

Our beers have been served in renowned craft beer pubs across the capital, earning overwhelmingly positive feedback. Local favourites like Howl at the Moon and Hoxton Cabin order weekly, delighting their customers with our brews.

Our Taproom

The taproom has become a vibrant hub for unforgettable events, hosting intimate acoustic Sofar Sounds gigs and entertaining monthly quiz nights. It has evolved into a space where people come together to savour fresh beer, share laughter, and connect  to one another.  

Exciting plans lie ahead, including comedy nights, beer-focused events, and the highly anticipated annual dog show. 

In addition to our partnership with Yard Sale Pizza, we will soon be welcoming food trucks to complement our offerings.  

Overcoming Challenges and Future Plans

As some of you may be aware, though we encountered unforeseen legal challenges that necessitated a winter opening, our perseverance prevailed. Initially, we were only able to operate under Temporary Events Notices (TENs) for a limited number of days per week. However, our determination paid off as we successfully navigated our legal battle, receiving positive news from Hackney Council. 

Consequently, we were finally able to commence full-fledged trading in January, aptly coinciding with Dry January and amidst a cost-of-living crisis.

Enhancing the Experience & Energy Efficiency

Throughout our journey, we have demonstrated our resilience as underdogs, persistently striving to establish Great Beyond Brewing Company as a cherished local brewery. However, in order to fully realize our vision, we request your support through this crowdfunding campaign.

Our primary goal is to elevate the overall experience we offer, focusing on key areas for improvement. Our plans encompass:

• Installing energy-saving double glazing and attractive doors to replace the worn-out railway arch doors.
• Creating an inviting outdoor seating area adorned with lush plants, enchanting fairy lights, and comfortable furniture.
• Enhancing the interior with upgraded furniture, tasteful décor, ambient lighting, and improved acoustics.
• Upgrading the brewery chiller system to significantly reduce our overall energy consumption by approximately 60%.
• Installing two new serving tanks to expand the variety and elevate the quality of beers we offer, all while minimizing energy and resource usage.
• Improving the toilet facilities.

To achieve these goals, we are seeking to raise £35,000. By supporting us, you will not only help enhance our taproom and upgrade our brewery equipment but also enable us to produce even better beers, reduce our environmental footprint, and solidify our position as a cherished local destination.
