As a Welsh woman and former student at Swansea University, I am deeply committed to standing up for Wales and the wonderful people who live here. After living and working in London for 15 years, my Welsh husband and I returned to Wales (where better?) to raise our family. I was tremendously pleased to gain over 8000 votes for Reform UK in the recent General Election (the 7th highest number of votes in Wales).
While I did not make it to Westminster this time, there is much work to do before the Senedd Election. We must address housing shortages, income disparity, and deteriorating transport and road systems in Wales. The recent cut to Winter fuel payments has piled yet more pressure on our pensioners and others who were already suffering disproportionately from the cost-of-living crisis and the terrible state of NHS Wales. We *must* try to support working people, oppose burdensome taxes, business rates and red tape, and reduce the unfair advantages enjoyed by giant firms and organisations that only ever operate from the top down, instead of from grass roots up. I want to help reverse and/or mitigate the damage governments in Westminster and the Senedd are causing, and have caused over the past 25 years.
In 2026, Reform UK will put up candidates to run in the Senedd Elections. Patrick Benham-Crosswell and I are already working hard to build an effective Branch for local supporters in the double-constituency of Gower & Swansea West. Help us prepare the way by getting as many Reform Councillors in place, today, ready to work with future Reform UK Senedd Members, and ultimately MPs as well. This ongoing project will be renewed at regular intervals. Thank you for anything you can give.
