Gorilla Riot Album fundraiser

We are delighted to say that we have a new album in the bag and ready to roll! As you know, we’re a band that takes inspiration from a huge variety of music and we’ve dug into our love of roots music including blues, rock ‘n’ roll, soul & gospel, as well as using traditional instruments from Asia and Africa, to create an album that’s unlike anything that we’ve done before. We prioritised songwriting and emotion above all else to achieve a record that hopefully moves you in a way that acknowledges the pain and suffering of life, whilst offering hope for a better future.

So far, we have personally covered all of the costs of recording, mixing and mastering but now we need your help to get it out there to as many people as possible.

We have estimated that it will cost around £10,000 to fund this album campaign. It’s taken 2 difficult years getting the album finished and we’ve spent every penny we have to get to this point. Unfortunately we still have Vinyl and CD pressing costs, Music Videos, PR and Advertising to account for, and without the funding the album will have to sadly remain unreleased. This is why we really need your help!

Our fans are some of the most beautifully caring people around, as we have discovered by getting to know you all over the years. We hate to ask but we need you one more time! One of our principles as a band was to always take care of the product ourselves, and whilst we have done that, we have exhausted all options for funding in order to release the record. Therefore we have decided to set up this Crowdfunder so we can continue to create music and bring this album to your city or town over the next few years. If we achieve our goal, then this record will truly be ‘our’ record, a joint effort from fans and band alike.

We hope that you enjoy our music as much as we like making it and performing it for you. So would you be good enough to help? It would mean the world to us to release this album to the best of our capability and who knows, with your help we can maybe get it into the UK Rock Charts.

We have created a bunch of rewards to suit every supporter, signed collectables to unique one of a kind experiences and if you have really big hearts matched by even deeper pockets, we have been super cheeky and included some bigger items too.

But it’s the ‘crowd’ part of Crowdfunder that really helps, every pledge all adds up to the big total, so whatever you can pledge it all helps us towards our goals.
