We're still collecting donations
On the 8th March 2021 we'd raised £50 with 2 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
I am selling drawings to raise £1000 to help my friends and their children who have no income in Gambia

My friend Mam and his wife Ndey are trying to feed 5 grandaughters their own daughter and their boys. Mam earns money by singing and playing guitar in tourist restaurants and Ndey plays shakers. This is where we met them twice in 2010 and 2015 at Kotu Beach. But there are no tourists due to the covid pandemic and Mam cannot work because he is blind. They have their own children to feed plus their daughter's 5 girls. Unfortunately their daughter died 3 years ago. They are lovely people, but desperately need help. Since March I have been sending them £40 every month, but it is not enough to pay their rent. They are threatened with eviction. The government does not help them.
I cannot provide enough funds for Mam and Ndey, so have decided to create and sell my drawings and donate the money to them. This will help them survive until the tourists return in winter 2021
