Unfortunately Tower Hamlets has not funded our social events for 2024, and so we are fundraising to continue to host the events for the community.
We are also fundraising for future investment in the gardens - any additional funds raised will be put back into supplies and materials needed to help run the garden.
About Goldman Community Food Gardens:
The purpose of our organisation is:
to provide fresh, healthy, low cost food that can substitute for otherwise expensive food purchases;
to encourage physical activity for all age groups;
create a social gathering place for the community and encourage sharing of inter generational knowledge;
enable participants to learn basic gardening skills, from sowing seeds to harvesting, and gain a better understanding their food system;
provide a welcoming space for participants to build self-confidence, wellness, and personal skills;
and help improve the local environment by preserving and growing green space and by encouraging people to act as local stewards.
