Only 7 days left to donate to our Crowdfunder! We have decided to reduce our target

As we enter the last week of our crowdfunding campaign we have come to the difficult decision to reduce our target to £4000. We have been blown away by your support and learnt a lot along the way! However, we realise we have been over-ambitious with our initial target and so have reduced the target to reflect the absolute minimum we need for the festival to go ahead (in its simplest and voluntary form).

Glasgow Open House Arts Festival 2021: 'Artists in Isolation' hopes to bring together and support the community to engage with the arts, outside of the usual gallery or museum. With £4000 in donations, we will be able to cover the basic running costs of a 4-day socially distanced arts festival free for everyone to enjoy! Your support will allow us to collaborate with and spotlight artists, organisations and groups already supporting diverse creative output in the city.

We will still be looking to fund support for artists, wages for the team, operational and team working costs, community engagement and accessibility for our events via public and private funding applications. £4000 raised from this crowdfunder will represent 12% of the cost of our ideal festival, allowing us to go ahead with the programme in a very basic form if we arent successful in raising all of the funds we are aiming for.

More than ever you can see how your donations will make a difference and contribute to the return of the festival. Check out our fantastic rewards and help us be part of your light at the end of the (covid) tunnel!

Help us get the word out

We could really do with your support to help us get the additional £1350 we need for the festival to go ahead! We are asking all supporters to post the following message to their Facebook page or forward as a message to just one friend on Watsapp, to help us get the campaign to as many people as possible:

"Please support Glasgow Open House Arts Festival's Crowdfunder campaign and bring back the joy of collective creative expression to the streets of Glasgow this September! It has been a really difficult year for everyone, we have all realised just how important the arts are for our mental health and well-being. GOHAF 2021: 'Artists in Isolation' hopes to bring together and support the community to engage with the arts, outside of the usual gallery or museum. With £4000 in donations, they will be able to cover the basic running costs of a 4-day socially distanced arts festival free for everyone to enjoy! Check out the fantastic rewards they have available on their page, including some amazing original artworks from local artists. https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/gohaf-2021"

But what does it mean, 2 degrees? 2 degrees when you are essentially surrounded by the sea? Come explore your favourite parts of Scotland while thinking about Climate Change."
