Aim: We're raising money to support the transport and activity costs for our popular youth groups so we can keep them affordable for all members.
I'm one of the volunteer leaders of 3 youth groups based in Cheadle Hulme in Greater Manchester, with a small team we run groups for 5-18 year olds, the 615ers, The Net and the Youth Group. For many years we have been providing exciting, challenging and thought provoking activities which are age appropriate and are safely delivered in a way which values the individuality of each child whilst fostering a real sense of community.
Each year we run a few adventurous activities, at least one of which is a camping trip for members over 9 years old as well as interesting and active trips out during our normal weekday sessions.
Over the last few years our transport costs have increased a lot as we no longer have our own minibus and activity costs keep increasing in price (some have tripled over the last few years), in order to continue to keep offering a great programme which is affordable for every group member, we now need to do some fundraising!
Our young people will be running a few fundraisers including a "Dial-a-Pizza" night on 20th May 2025!
