GBSN receives no central funding and we rely entirely on donations and fundraisers. Thank you for considering a donation to our charity - we are so grateful.
Fundamental to our mission are our dedicated GBSN volunteer Peer Supporters. Each is a local mother who has breastfed at least one baby, for at least six months.
Our qualified Breastfeeding Counsellors guide our volunteers through our bespoke training programme so that they have the special skills needed to support families just like yours. The Peer Supporters are there to listen, share information and help with attachment and positioning.
GBSN operates under a person-centred model. We work alongside families, listening and supporting their goals. We offer the support required to help you feel empowered to make informed decisions.
The philosophy of GBSN is to respond to the needs of each particular community, to respect each person’s experience, to nurture, to help develop innate strengths and abilities for supporting mothers achieve their unique feeding goals.
