Community impact

Following the last few years of the pandemic, it has become more apparent that Communities need to help and look out for each other. Whilst we do events to fundraise for projects, we also offer free community events to bring people together such as litterpicking with the Co-op staff and local fire brigade. We also took on the role of Santa's helper by reponding personally to 386 local children through our Santa Letter postbox at the local Co-op.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We have recently brought back a pitch size area into use and now we need to fit it out for the pupils so they can use on a daily basis for play or learning. Our projects aim to help promote good mental health and physical wellbeing of the pupils through play and learning, which will be hugely beneficial following Covid lockdowns and restrictions. We hope that with improved mental health and physical wellbeing, the children will transfer this positivity to their daily learning and also onto their home environment.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We would like to purchase equipment and resources for our newly secured area to allow outdoor learning through play. Research shows that outdoor activities during the school day promotes a child's physical and mental wellbeing. The pupils love helping maintain and tidy up the school gardens, harvesting the veg plots and orchard during the summer holidays.
