Children and parents from schools across Glasgow are coming together to ask officials for changes that tackle air pollution.
- Glasgow is the 5th most polluted city in the UK
- One person a day dies from air pollution in Glasgow
- Two children are hospitalised with asthma and lung conditions a week.
- 93% of Glasgow schools are in areas that violate WHO guidelines on safe air to breathe
On the 24th April children and parents from across the city are travelling to City Chambers to ask MPs, MSPs, councilors, and Glasgow City Council officials to enact changes that will tackle air pollution. We need money for public transport to get families to/from the event and snacks for the children.
- £2.00 could pay for a snack for 4 children
- £5.40 could pay for a parent to attend the event by bus, ensuring there are no barriers to participation
- £8.30 could pay for a child and their parent to attend the event by bus and advocate for changes that will transform Glasgow into a city with clean air to breathe for all.
