We are a theatre education-based charity in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire.

Our aim is to teach our students new and transferable skills that will not only help them in the performing arts but in all areas of their lives.

We are taking this group of students to Florida to represent North Lanarkshire and to showcase their hard work all over lockdown and beyond.

We have been working hard doing various events to cover the costs of our students taking part in this amazing trip. Our students and their families have worked hard to reach their target and are so close.

This final push will make sure their trip and performances in Florida are 100% covered and that they get to have the experience of a lifetime.

We have added a lot of social issues and tackled many issues that face young people in our area. Partnering with many other local organisations to make sure it is both educational and fun, not only for our members but for the young people in our community who will watch the show.

Our students will:

Rehearse on Friday afternoons and work with our team as well as a variety of theatre professionals and other organisations. Learning new dance, drama and singing skills as well as looking at different issues and challenges for young people living in our local area.

Perform Robin Hood the traditional Family Pantomime for a week here in Scotland. We will perform this for a week in a local venue. We will showcase the skills we have developed and also provide an opportunity for our community to come together and combat isolation in our area.

We will fly to Orlando Florida to perform the show in a theatre and also take part in workshops at Disney and Universal.

Our students are given the chance to gain NPA musical theatre as well as other youth work and community based courses and qualifications.

The show will be filmed and be available to local schools, nursery’s and nursing homes across Scotland.

We will also film an original music video and charity single in aid of our chosen charity (TBC). In previous years we have supported Chris’s House, Les Hoey’s Dream Maker Foundation and the Wishaw Neonatal ward.

The money raised will go towards the costs of the group such as coach travel, costumes, technical costs and the production costs.

We want to make sure all members receive the same experience no matter their personal or family circumstances.
