GKN Solidarity Delegation

Aim: Help me take part in the UK trade union solidarity delegation to support the occupying GKN workers.
In 2021 the workers of the GKN car parts factory at Campi Bisenzio, near Florence, occupied their workplace to prevent themselves being sacked and the factory closed. In the course of the ensuing struggle they allied with climate campaigners and developed a plan for alternative green production as a workers' cooperative.
Between 11 and 13 October they are holding a series of protests and events, and a grassroots UK union delegation is travelling to take part.
Unfortunately I only realised I was able to go very late in the day, and therefore may or may not be able to get union funding for the costs of the trip. (If I do I will donate any excess funds to the GKN workers.)
If you are able to help, much appreciated. I am very happy to come and report to your organisation, speak at meetings, write about the GKN struggle, etc.
