Hi, everyone.
If you know me, you know I love a drink. Absolutely love it. But every now and then, it's good to give your body a break. So, I've decided to take 6 months off the booze to fix my broken liver, lose my beer belly, and get my head sorted.
I've tackled some big challenges in my life: moving to Asia solo, skydiving, learning Chinese, and more. But nothing feels quite as tough as taking 6 WHOLE MONTHS off the booze! So, I thought I'd make this challenge even more worthwhile by turning it into a fundraiser. And what better cause to support than a charity school in Africa?
My mate Hawa runs Diannah English Language School in Senegal. This school offers local children a free and fun introduction to English using interactive and collaborative teaching methods. Any money raised will help fund the education of these kids, going towards:
- New teaching assistants
- School materials (pens, paper, notebooks, etc.)
- Classroom games (Lego, blocks, cards, games, etc.)
- General upkeep of the school
It's a fantastic cause, and hopefully, we can raise some money to make a real difference in these kids' lives and their learning opportunities.
I'm aiming for us to raise £1,000, which would mean the world to Hawa, her school, and the children. So, if you could chip in whatever you can, it would be amazing.
I fix my liver, and some kids get a better education. Win-win!
Get chipping in now, folks! Much love,
Dyl
