My Name is Nadia - I love food, culture and giving back. My parents came to Portmsouth on a honey moon and then ran an Indian cookery class. They wrote a book full of recipes which was given to students. Parents moved area and lost their book.
I promised age 8 I will find it and re-do it. 30 years later I found it through a random convo with a member of staff. I republished it and now we have the cookery school running once a month -we need funding to run more. I have managed to get the recipes in cafes, resturants and school pupils are cooking from it. I have created specials on menus from ingrediants from the book as well as mixing the cafe/ business ingrediants to get a water pump. Its been amazing and I will carry on after the 100 pump mission. I have managed to get the book on Waterstones.com.
The water pump idea came from seeing a neighbour using her hose pipe. I saw it and felt said of the waste of water. I decided to buy a water pump to do something to help others. Then I wanted to get businesses involved by creating specials for water pumps. Mission 100 was created. I need your help to get me there.
Your funding will help print books, give to care homes as my father is now in one, as well as schools, workshops, cookery school and waterpumps.
