Hello My name is Faye Osafo. I am asking the public to help me raise 300 pound sterling/ to help pay for Maurice remaining legal fees. Maurice was eligible for release at the beginning of 2021 but due to the US's cruel pr*son system and Covid Pandemic he hasn't been given a chance. Having an appropriate lawyer would give Maurice the chance to be released- if not he is looking at another 11.5 years in F*deral Pr*son for a low-level cr*me as a first time off*nder.
"FROM ADDICT TO ASSET"
At the age of 14 , Maurice got involved in a dark lifestyle that included dr*g addiction, in order to mask the pain,abandonment and insecurities from a abusive childhood.This Pain led him to have low self esteem and on the pursuit of acceptance and attention involved himself with the Local dr*g dealers who were also addicts, they gave him the attention he desired.
This dangerous roller-coaster eventually led him into p*lice custody for his involvement in this lifestyle. Whilst in p*lice custody he was forced to face all the issues he had been running from, his fear of failing as a father and as a man had caught up with him. Through continuous prayer , pain and seeking Gods face during this time , Maurice decided to give his life to God.
He was given 20 years as a low-level first time offender.
Maurice decided to not allow this harsh sentence to make him bitter but decided this was the time he'd use to become the man he'd always dreamed he would be. For the past 8.5 years he has treated pr*son like a college and as he likes to call it a 'cultivation centre' , cultivating knowledge and good character through spiritual training and studying. He has gained multiple certifications in business studies. He finds comfort helping others via biblical studies and motivational speaking.
He remains in good communication with his family and children and loves them dearly and cannot wait for the day he is able to be home with them all.
He has wrote 2 Christian books that he has plans to pitch to a publisher upon his release.Maurice has had the blessed opportunity to be released from prison and live out his dream speaking to the youth , teaching addicts about deliverance through the gospel and motivating others with the Good News of the Gospel.
Maurice believes God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly for those who ask. Maurice and his family are asking the public to assist him with is legal fees.
