Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
Aim: I am fundraising for my local citizens advice bureaux who can help provide advice and/or care to those in need within my local community!
From now until the end of November, I am setting myself some challenges each month to help raise funds for my local citizens advise bureaux!
For July, I will be completing 12 runs over the space of the month. Now anyone who knows me knows my love for American football, however I have never taken part in any longer runs in my life. For the past however many years I have played American football, I have only ever sprinted the max of about 15 yards before stopping and repeating again. So completing 12 longer runs in one month for me is going to be a personal challenge!
In August, on Saturday 23rd, I will take on the inflatable 5k run held at Strathclyde Country Park, Hamilton Rd ML1 3ED. Again another big challenge of a 5k run but adding in 30 inflatable obstacles to the mix will be fun!
September, October and November are still to be considered as of yet, but watch this space and keep up with fundraising efforts for a great charity!!
As someone who has used citizens advice before, they offer a wide range of free advice open to everyone and anyone in need and the help they provided me before was great!
North Lanarkshire Citizens Advice Bureaux (NLCAB) provide free, independent, confidential, life changing advice and support in the local community. The cost-of-living crisis is continuing to have a devastating impact on local people, particularly the most vulnerable with complex advice needs. NLCAB are tirelessly finding the best way forward to help them overcome significant challenges. NLCAB, comprising of 5 Citizens Advice Bureaux based in Airdrie, Bellshill, Coatbridge, Cumbernauld, Motherwell & Wishaw.
