Aim: Securing a Green voice for Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Newport East, Newport West & Islwyn, Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent & Rhymney in 2024.

The general election is coming - but people could be denied the chance to vote Green

At just after 5pm on 22nd May the Prime Minister ended months of speculation, calling a snap general election for July 4th. In just 6 weeks voters will take to the polls - but we have just two weeks left to raise the funds we need to secure a Green voice in every constituency in Gwent.

We have candidates to stand right across our area.

  • Ian Chandler (Monmouthshire) is a councillor in Monmouthshire and worked for over 30 years in charities promoting international development, human rights and environmental protection.
  • Phil Davies (Torfaen) is Wales Green Party's deputy leader and works tirelessly to help young people get into politics.
  • Lauren James (Newport East) is a councillor and former deputy leader of Wales Green Party, who champions equality and a fair future for all.
  • Kerry Vosper (Newport West & Islwyn) has had finance roles in charities and higher education and is a passionate advocate for the natural world.
  • Mark Thomas (Caerphilly) is a businessman and therapist who cares deeply about the wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Anne Baker (Blaenau Gwent & Rhymney) is deeply worried about the impact of climate change on our children and grandchildren - and is prepared to stand up and do something about it.

People are at the heart of our movement

Unlike other parties, we aren't funded by big business and vested interests. We are powered by people like you.

Standing in all 6 constituencies in Gwent will cost us £3,000. Which means:

If 120 people gave £25, we would hit our target.

If 60 people gave £50, we would hit our target.

If 30 people gave £100, we would hit our target.

People are at the heart of our movement. We can’t do this without you. Are you with us?

P.S. Because we're a political party we're required to run electoral register checks from people making donations above £500, and if you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know, who will make this available on their website. All donations go to general campaigning funds.

Promoted by Lauren James on behalf of Wales Green Party, both at The Gate, Keppoch Street, Cardiff, CF24 3JW
