David Walsh has been competing in Disabled strongman since 2017 following a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. He is a huge advocate for disabled sports, publishing a podcast where he talks with other disabled athletes about their sport and how sports can be adapted to be inclusive. David has had an incredible few years coming second in Worlds strongest disabled man 2020 and 2021 being the highlights! Dave qualifying to compete this year, which is being held in Canada, is a testament to his commitment to the sport. Unfortunately there is no financial help or even prize money for the incredible athletes that have worked so hard to get to international level. I know how amazing the strongman community are and think it would be great if we could all so what we can to get Dave to Canada to compete in a competition he has worked so hard for. Dave is so supportive to everyone and such a positive role model for many. If you’ve ever trained with, competed against or even if you just follow Dave for his mediocre dad jokes please think about donating what you can.
