Cycling from the UK to Barcelona - Documentary

This year, the PARALLELS film team set out to document George's journey as he followed in his Mum's footsteps by cycling from the UK to Barcelona... 

At the start of the trip, however, the team's rented motorhome caught fire and burned to the ground on the side of the motorway... Leaving George without a bike or passport, and leaving the team without clothes or camera gear.

Now, we really need your help to make this trip happen and to get George to the finish line... 

WHO ARE WE?

PARALLELS is an exciting, new documentary project made up of an up and coming, award-winning filmmaking team in Bristol.

The PARALLELS team are setting out to create the first in a series of documentaries in which we explore and showcase people’s stories, and help to tell their story beyond diagnosis.

THE STORY.

Over 30 years ago, Rachael cycled from the UK to Barcelona... Now, four years after her passing from bowel cancer, her son, George, attempts to explore her story as he repeats the journey himself.

Retracing her journey and exploring her story, George wants to reconnect with his mum and who she was beyond diagnosis.

SUPPORT THE PROJECT.

We have already started this trip once... Loosing George's bike, passports, camera gear and more in a burning van. It's quite the set back to our plans, but we are going ahead with the trip early next year.

This project has only been possible thanks everybody's support so far, and now, we still a long way to go to get George to the finish line. So, we have reopened our Crowdfunder for anybody who can support the project further.
