Who We Are
We are Generous, a new charity with a big vision: to bring hope, opportunity, and practical support to children and schools—both mainstream and special needs—so that every child, regardless of ability or background, has the chance to learn, grow, and experience the love of God. Timothy West, the Founder has heart to really make a difference in the lives of disadvantages children all over the world.
We believe in sharing the love of Jesus in practical ways—by building classrooms, improving IT access, providing meals, and ensuring children have the support they need to succeed. But our work doesn’t stop there. We are also committed to responding to urgent needs, offering emergency relief where disasters strike, and empowering others to bring change in their communities.
For 2 years, we’ve been working on the ground in Kenya, particularly at Tharua Special School, where we have helped improve infrastructure, digital learning, and feeding programs. Now, we’re taking the next step—establishing Generous as an official UK charity—so we can do even more.

Our work focuses on:
- Promoting Education & Development – Supporting both mainstream and special schools through better classrooms, IT access, and essential resources.
- Providing School Feeding Programs – Expanding meal programs to ensure that no child learns on an empty stomach.
- Improving IT & Digital Learning – Equipping schools with technology and digital tools to improve access to quality education.
- Sharing the Love of Jesus – Bringing hope, encouragement, and the life-changing message of Christ to students through school outreach.
- Emergency Relief & Poverty Alleviation – Providing urgent support to families and communities affected by crisis and hardship.
- Training & Empowering Others – Raising awareness, mobilising people to take action, and equipping communities to bring long-term change.
We are committed to both the practical and personal needs of the students we serve—helping them access education, stay in school, and build a future filled with purpose and hope.
Why We Need Your Support
Setting up a charity takes more than just passion—it requires a strong foundation so we can create real, long-term impact. We are raising £4,000 to cover the essential setup costs, including:
💼 Legal & Registration Fees – £1,900
- We are working with Stewardship Services to register Generous as an official UK charity. This will allow us to receive Gift Aid, apply for grants, and operate with full transparency and accountability.
🏫 First Project Fund – £1,000
- As we launch, we want to immediately put generosity into action by contributing £1,000 towards building a new girls' dormitory at Tharua Special School in Kenya. This dormitory will provide a safe and supportive home for vulnerable girls, helping them stay in school and continue their education.
🌍 Website, IT & Content Creation – £1,100
- To build a charity that engages supporters and operates efficiently, we need:
- Website hosting & improvements – Enhancing our existing site generous.org.uk to better share our mission.
- IT & digital learning tools – Expanding technology access in schools to support learning.
- Donor management system (CRM) – A simple system to track donations and communicate with supporters transparently.
- Content creation for social media – Sharing stories, inspiring generosity, and connecting with a wider audience.

But we also know that real transformation happens when children hear and experience the love of Jesus. That’s why we are committed to sharing His message of kindness, generosity, and redemption, alongside the practical help we provide.
As James 2:17 reminds us, "Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead."
