I'm a musician and music therapist. I have a lot of friends in the music industry, willing to share beautiful original tracks for a fundraiser album for Gaza. The artists involved are happy to donate their music and are not expecting any payment. We'll do a digital download on Bandcamp but we'd love to create a physical object and booklet for those who prefer CD's.
The album will raise money for www.PalMedAcademy.com, an amazing volunteer-run charity that have supported the heroic and exhausted Palestinian medics who have toiled to save lives and limbs in Gaza since October 2023 without any salary. With over 1000 medics killed in Gaza over the last 15 months, PalMedAcademy's work is absolutely essential. PalMedAcademy has provided financial support, equipment, technology and online specialist teaching and supervision from an international team of volunteer doctors to enable 202 Palestinian medics to graduate in January 2025 when their studies would have otherwise have been scrapped because of the war in Gaza. Another 19 displaced Palestinian medics will graduate in Istanbul in coming months, so they can return to Gaza and help their community work towards a healthier, stronger and more self-sufficient future.
We're very grateful for any financial support to make this project happen. Any additional funds will either go towards a 2nd album, or directly back to PalMedAcademy to support their vital work.
