Brass Band for people of all ages. We have a Training Band where you can learn from scratch, Jubilee Concert Band where you can perform to local people in a relaxed setting and Garforth Brass contesting band if you want something a bit more formal including taking part in the Yorkshire Brass Band Championships.

There are three bands under the Garforth Brass umbrella,which each cater for a different type of audience and band member.
There is the Training Band, where anyone can come along and learn to play a brass instrument. If you don't have one of your own you can borrow one of ours!
Garforth Jubilee Concert Band was set up in honour of the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977 and has been entertaining audiences ever since with local concerts and supporting local events, such as the Garforth Christmas Lights for many years.
Garforth Brass Contesting Band has just been promoted to the third Section of the Yorkshire Brass Band Championships and can be heard performing at Huddersfield Town Hall in the Regional competition, as well as at other concerts in the locality, such as Garforth in Bloom's annual brass band concert.
By supporting the bands you are helping to keep live music available in Garforth and giving both performers and audiences the chance to enjoy the many varied musical styles to which brass bands are particularly suited.
It costs a fair amount to keep the bands running, from room hire, uniform costs, to buying and insurancing instruments etc so anything you can donate will be gratefully received and used to improve what the bands can offer.
