The People's Recovery Project
Charity No. 1199225

£254
On May 18th, I’ll be running the Hackney Half Marathon in support of The People’s Recovery Project - a powerful, community-led charity helping people facing homelessness and addiction access the recovery they deserve.
In 2023, over 1,400 people died while experiencing homelessness in the UK. More than a third of those deaths were related to drugs and alcohol. Behind each statistic is a person who didn’t get the chance they needed.
The People’s Recovery Project offers an innovative, life-changing model: supporting people with lived experience to lead others into safe, residential detox and rehab. Their approach creates sustainable recovery and real community transformation.
I’m running because I believe recovery shouldn’t be a rare exception, it should be an opportunity available to everyone. With the right support, people can turn their lives around. This project is proving it.
Your donation will directly help people access treatment, housing, and long-term care, giving them the tools to build a better future.
Please support my run if you can. Every step I take, and every pound you give, helps someone take their first step toward recovery.
Thank you.
