A Resource for Environmental Education
Garden Match Cards are an educational resource designed for playing games and for garden planning, the standard pack has 72 cards including vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers, garden animals, garden insects, the weather and garden infrastructure. The cards have been designed around the concept of companion planting, which promotes growing particular plants next to eachother for mutual benefit. https://gardenmatch.co.uk/
Inspiration for the Cards
When trying to plan my organic garden, I knew that particular plants work well together, but needed pieces of paper with plant names and their companions, in order to create a layout on a table. I realised these types of cards would be handy to buy in garden centre, useful for education and that they could also be turned into a game.
Cards Are Ready; Funding Required for Printing
After many months of design and development work (without funding), the cards are ready to go. However, we have a no budget for printing.
We want to make the cards accessible to people as a physical pack for a reasonable price. Printing low volumes is expensive.
So, please help us make the next step. Your contribution will enable us to print at least 200 packs, which will allow us to get them to schools and garden centres etc.
