Hello, my name is Bonnie, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my beautiful mum, Gabby.
As many of you know, Gabby was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal gastric cancer in December 2023. It’s difficult to express the weight of seeing someone you love suffer in such a way.
A single mum, Gabby has been nothing short of extraordinary. She has always been the most loving, fun, and nurturing mother, making my brother and I feel cherished, safe, and supported no matter what.
Though she remains an unwavering fighter, maintaining her positivity, joy, and hope, the journey has been incredibly tough. After rounds of chemotherapy and a recent scan, we learned that the tumour is starting to spread.
Throughout this, my mum has displayed an incredible strength and resilience. However, we now face the heartbreaking challenge of managing mounting medical costs, day-to-day essentials, prescriptions, and rent, all while on sick pay.
To make matters more difficult, the NHS has informed us that there is no further treatment they can offer. As a result, we’re urgently exploring alternative options. We are in talks with a doctor in Germany who believes he can help with a chemoembolization treatment specifically for this stage and type of cancer. Sadly, this treatment is beyond our current means and would be impossible to afford without help.
We are humbly asking for any donation, no matter how small, to go directly towards her treatment and associated costs. Every contribution will help ease this burden and allow her to focus on recovery, bringing us one step closer to affording this crucial treatment.
