Nowruz, meaning "New Day," begins on the Spring Equinox (20.03.25) and marks the arrival of spring and the Persian New Year. This time of year symbolises renewal, hope, and fresh beginnings. With roots in ancient traditions spanning more than 3,000 years, it is a time for generosity, balance, and community.
Similarly, Eid al-Fitr celebrates the end of the month of Ramadan - month dedicated to charity, generosity, and gratitude. The overlap of both traditions has been the perfect moment to reflect on my blessings and encourage me to extend kindness to those in need.
As such, good health is one of the greatest blessings any person can have. In light of this, I am launching a fundraiser to support a cause close to my heart: a children’s hospital in Iran that provides life-saving care to children in need.
I have chosen a charitable hospital in Iran (run by a relative), which is one of the only 10 specialist centers in the country treating children up to the age of 18 for medical conditions requiring hospitalization. The hospital relies on donations to cover costs for surgeries, treatments, medications, medical equipment (such as life-support machines or respiratory devices), and other essentials like wheelchairs, nappies, clothing, formula milk, etc.
The charity behind this effort is Salam Charity (https://www.salamch.ir or https://www.instagram.com/salamch.ir/), which transforms lives by ensuring finances are not a barrier to receiving medical treatment and that every child has access to essential care. This spring season is an opportunity to make a difference - whether you celebrate Nowruz, Eid al-Fitr, or simply believe in the universal values of generosity and compassion.
Any donation - big or small - can make a significant impact! I emphasize this given the all-time-high exchange rates between the Iranian Rial and other currencies. Together, we can improve the lives and livelihoods of as many children as possible.
Thank you in advance for your support!
