Hey everyone
So here at katieshereforyou we keep our costs as low as possible to make sure people living with dementia in the community can afford our services because really no one should have to pay for these services we provide.
We have now found a premises and a place to call home but without funding ourselves or help to get it off the ground ready for us to move in and our new adventure with dementia for our happy go luckies and expansion, we haven’t got an opening date.
We currently operate weekly from a church hall sat around a table and really would like a more comfortable home from home experience, with a relaxation room, an area for CST activities as a group or 1-1 support, a kitchen & dining area.
People living with Dementia need continuity, routine, familiarity and a safe space to feel listened to, loved and supported and thats exactly what our aim is at all times.
This is literally my dream in memory of my Grandparents.
As a family we know all too well how your loved ones living with Dementia can affect everyone involved and thats why we are a family for families and a hand to hold.
Alongside having all the relevant qualifications to run this our personal experiences give it all a much more person centred touch
This being said We now need all the help we can get to make these dreams come true and have an opening date, the positive impact and what it means to the people we look after and their families is more then what words can describe, makes me emotional just thinking about it.
We will be having a fundraising event and a quiz night (dates to follow) and will set up this crowd funding hoping the council match what what we raise to help get us set up ready for the next phase of katieshereforyou
