Aim: Despite all the rhetoric from the government, our planning & legal arguments remain robust. Raising all funds for legal & professional cost
We need your help to build our fighting fund for the examination of the pylons proposals later this year
This summer, National Grid will submit its proposals for 180km of pylons cutting through rural east Anglia to the Planning Inspectorate. This 'development consent order' is like a giant planning application.
The pylons proposal (including a stretch of underground trenching through the Dedham Vale will wreak havoc on communities, destroy nature and put businesses in peril.
Pylons are an antiquated, 20th century, solution and not fit for purpose in the 21st century. New technologies are available to offer better, quicker and more popular solutions:
And don't believe it when National Grid tells you pylons are cheap and that nasty government makes them use pylons. Both are nonsense! We estimate that the pylons will cost at least four times as much as National Grid claims.
The examination of the consent order will be very technical and complex. We need funds for our excellent planning KC, Charles Banner, and for our heritage, archaelogy, consultation and landscape consultants.
We ask you to give what you can to help us continue to fight for a proper solution to avoid the harms that N2T pylons would inflict on our beautiful counties.
A huge thank you for your support.

We operate as a 'not for profit company', with the individuals who drive the cause doing so for free with no payments made for their time and effort. We do, however, need funds to engage professionals and our barrister to support us. We rely entirely on donations to achieve this, and this is the purpose of our Crowd Funder page.
Established in 2023, Essex Suffolk Norfolk Pylons (Pylons East Anglia Ltd) is a 'not for profit' company started to represent communities and businesses in East Anglia who are adversely affected by National Grid's destructive Norwich to Tilbury pylon proposals.
