We're still collecting donations
On the 15th June 2024 we'd raised £625 with 15 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Join us and help fund a local Green candidate for this year's General Election. All of us in Bassetlaw should be able to vote as we choose.

On the 15th June 2024 we'd raised £625 with 15 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
£500 is all we need to stand a candidate, but with another £1,000 we can send a leaflet out to everyone in Bassetlaw to tell them about the Green alternative.
The next UK General Election will be on the 4th July. The last time there was a parliamentary election in Bassetlaw, there was no Green Party candidate on the ballot. That means that more than 70,000 local people were not given the choice to vote Green.
We have taken the first step and selected a great local candidate - Rachel Reeves.
A deposit so that Rachel can stand will cost £500, so we need to raise at least that much to let people here have a proper choice. Sending round a leaflet to tell people about the Green alternative would also cost more.
The Green Party has always been powered by people. We aren't funded by big donors or lobbyists, so we rely on grassroots donations to be able to participate in democracy. If you could kindly contribute what you can afford, you can give everyone in our area a full choice when they next vote. We only need 50 people to pitch in £10 each, to show that there are enough of us in Bassetlaw who want that opportunity.
Nationally, every Green vote sends a message that we want a fairer society and a greener planet. Please, help the Green Party get a full slate of candidates across the country this election, so that everyone can have a voice, and a choice in who they vote for.
P.S. Because we're a political party...
It is a requirement for donating to a political party that you are on the electoral register so please ensure you are registered. If you are eligible to vote but not on the electoral register you can register here - register to vote. Remember - it is now also a requirement to take voter ID along to the polling station.
Please note all donations will go to the Bassetlaw Green Party to fund the registration of a candidate, and a leaflet if we raise enough. Any further money will go toward continued local campaigns.
We're required to run checks on donations over £500, and share the details of any donors of more than £500 on our election returns.
