3Fun 4 Young People (F4YP) provide fun, educational and accessible activities to Bedfordshire's most vulnerable children and young people (aged 5-16).
Every year, we provide year-round support to 500+ children and young people from low-income families. 85% of the young people we support are in receipt of benefits/financial support such as Universal Credit, Disability Living Allowance, Pupil Premium and Free School Meals. These families are being most impacted by the current cost of living crisis and need our support more than ever before.
In addition to supporting children from low income families, over 50 local schools and a range of specialist agencies refer children to us who are in need of additional support. Bedfordshire Children’s services refer large numbers of children to us with more than 10% of our children and young people having a Child Protection Plan (CPP), Child In Need and Team Around the Family, or Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) in place.
47% of our current young people have one or more of: ASD, ADHD, ODD, anxiety, other mental health or neurodiverse diagnosis, or fall under LAC, Young Carer or ESOL.
We provide year-round support for all of our young people. This includes:
-After school support
-Holiday provision
-Pastoral support
-Reading support
-Early intervention therapeutic support
-Mutli-agency wrap-around support.
Bedford Borough Council acknowledges that "F4YP are vital" in filling a gap in local provision. We need the support of our community to ensure we can continue to support Bedfordshire's most vulnerable families through the current cost of living crisis.
